Ting-Ying Gallery is delighted to be taking part in ARTEFACT, a new contemporary craft fair at Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour. We will present 12 UK and international artists under the theme ‘Pliable’ with a dazzling array of artworks created in ceramics, glass, textile, majority of which are newly created for the fair.
The material is soft and can be manipulated into various shapes. However, when fired (ceramics) or let cool (glass), it becomes hard and rigid. It is pliable and controlled by the artists into the form that we see now. It is the vision, knowledge and skill in the manipulation of the materials.
Visitors eager to discover, learn and connect, can meet the gallerists and view in person authentic work from established & emerging artists and makers at this selling exhibition. Attracting top designers, architects, collectors, art-lovers and style-seekers, this new, physical event will feature an impressive rollcall of contemporary craft and visual arts galleries from the vibrant British craft scene.
Complimenting the fair, a 3D virtual tour will allow those unable to visit in person, the chance to explore all works on show.
With Grant Gibson expertly chairing his programme of Conversations in Craft, to be enjoyed both physically and online, Ting-Ying Gallery’s co-founder Peter Ting will join force with Nazy Vassegh, founder of Eye of the Collector, and Shiro Muchiri, founder and creative director of SoShiro to discuss what galleries of the future might look like.
This inaugural event promises an abundance of everything we have missed in the past one and half years!
